Here’s our top tried and tested, alternative activities in the local area for you to take a break, explore something new and keep your body moving.
Take a Beach Walk to Taghazout
Keep your body in motion by switching up your muscles, giving your upper body and arms a rest while you focus on your legs. One of our top recommendations is to take a walk along the beach from Tamraght to Taghazout either on the beach or along the promenade. The walk takes roughly one hour, and winds along the beach until you reach Taghazout, another sweet oceanside surf village with plenty of cafes for you to take a break, refuel and watch the ocean.
pssst. If you don’t fancy the walk back, it’s possible to take a short bus or taxi ride back to Tamraght.
Explore Further - Take a Guided Hike
Want something a bit more demanding? We have a great partnership with Tawada Hiking who offer epic half or full day guided hiking trips. Expect to explore off the beaten track whilst learning about the land, history and local culture. Offering sunrise hikes, beat the heat and still be back in time for a relaxed afternoon on the beach or in the village.

Taghazout Skate Park
Want to switch up riding liquid waves for concrete waves? Then look no further, we are stoked that Taghazout is now host to an international standard community skatepark. Skateboarding helps work on your surf skills and is also a great way to keep your balance intact for the next surf.
The Taghazout Skate Park is open daily for free skating as well as offering skateboard rental and lessons. The vibe here is always friendly and fun with people of all levels having a go.
pssst. the skatepark is also a pretty sweet spot to watch the sunset, with it’s awesome ocean views!

Keep your body moving and join one of our daily rooftop yoga classes! Boost your surf for the next day by joining our 60 minute yoga session aimed at surfers working to improve your strength, flexibility, breath and balance - and last but not least unwind those surf muscles!

Treat yourself! Indulge in an hour long massage giving your body some serious relaxation time, as well as some gentle relief for your surf muscles.
