We often get asked what people should make sure to bring with them for a surf holiday in Morocco. Here are our top eight suggested items not to forget when getting ready for your Moroccan surf holiday.
1. SUNCREAM
Sunscreen is essential all year round in Morocco and especially when you are in the water! Make sure to invest in a suitably high factor and waterproof sunscreen to keep your skin fully protected. You may also want to consider buying a zinc stick for your face, for enhanced block.
2. DAY BAG
A day bag or backpack for the beach will mean you can easily carry all your beach items in one place - simple.
3. SUNGLASSES
Keep your eyes protected from the sun and cover them up with some shades - with over 300 days of sunshine these are an essential item to pack, even in winter!
4. ADAPTER PLUGS & CHARGERS
Because nobody likes to be caught short when it comes to charger and adapters for your electronic devices. Morocco uses a French-style 220-volt electrical plug, which is similar to that used in continental Europe.
5. PEN
You will need a pen to complete a simple customs form for passport control when arriving into any Moroccan airport. Or, alternatively you can also ask to borrow one from another traveller - we've found that people are always happy to share.
6. A GOOD BOOK
There's nothing like a good holiday read! Enjoy your post surf relaxation time on the beach while soaking up some rays and digging into a good book. Turn off your devices and treat yourself to some solid down time.
7. CAMERA
Capture your holiday moments and memories. We'll handle getting you some surf photos but the rest is up to you!
8. PASSPORT & VISA
Last but not least, don't forget your passport and to check if you are required to apply for a visa for entry to Morocco. EU and U.S passport holders do not require a passport for tourist entry into Moroccan, on entry you are granted a 90 day tourist visa, for all other nationalities we recommend you check with your nearest Moroccan Embassy. Please note, your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date.
